Connecting the people shaping terracotta design and architecture. TDA brings together architects, designers, builders, students, and innovators to celebrate excellence, exchange ideas, and inspire the future.

Celebrating innovation in architecture and design, TDA 2026 invites architects, designers, and students to showcase exceptional work, bold ideas, and groundbreaking terracotta applications that redefine the future of this timeless material.
Award winners and selected participants will exhibit their work at an exclusive ceremony in Kozhikode, Kerala — India connecting with leading architects, designers, and innovators who believe terracotta belongs at the heart of a sustainable design future.
For a long time, materials shaped how we built. They responded to climate, light, and life in ways that felt natural and intuitive. Terracotta lives in memory in roofs and courtyards, in screens and walls, recognised before it is fully understood. It allows airflow, balances moisture and ages with dignity. The Nuvocotto Terracotta Design Award celebrates the designers who carry this forward with creativity and intent.
Work where terracotta is a decision, not a detail. Where it shapes how a building performs, how a space feels, how people experience a place. Facades, futures, and product thinking. Built or imagined. Any typology, any scale. The question is always the same: What did design make the material do?
