The award is open to architects, designers, studios, and institutions working on projects with terracotta as a primary material in design. Submissions may be by an individual, a team of up to three people, or in the name of a studio or institution.
By submitting, you confirm that all images, drawings, documents, and other materials included in your submission are owned by you or your firm, or that you have obtained the necessary permissions to use and share them. Nuvocotto accepts no liability for any claims arising from third-party ownership of submitted materials.
By submitting to the Nuvocotto Terracotta Design Award, you grant Nuvocotto permission to use submitted materials including images, drawings, and project descriptions for the following purposes: event display and spatial installation, printed and digital publications, social media and website content, press and media communications, and documentation of the award and event. Credit will be given to the submitting designer, team, or studio in all uses of submitted materials.
Where submitted images are the work of a photographer, you confirm that you have obtained permission from the photographer to submit the images for the purposes described above, and that photographer credit will be included in all uses. Photographer credits must be included in your submission.
You confirm that all information provided in your registration and submission is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
The jury's decisions are final. Nuvocotto reserves the right to disqualify submissions that do not meet the eligibility criteria or submission requirements. No correspondence will be entered into regarding individual jury decisions.
Shortlisted and selected projects will be featured as part of the Nuvocotto Terracotta Design Award event on 24 October 2026, and in related communications. Submitting entrants consent to being contacted by Nuvocotto regarding shortlisting, recognition, and related event participation.
Nuvocotto will endeavour to cover reasonable travel and accommodation costs for the top three shortlisted entrants per award category to attend the event on 24 October 2026 in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. The extent of coverage is at Nuvocotto's sole discretion and subject to budgetary considerations at the time of shortlisting.
Shortlisted entrants will be informed of the specific travel support available to them at the time of their shortlisting notification. Nuvocotto does not guarantee full coverage of travel costs in all cases, and reserves the right to offer partial support or alternative arrangements where full coverage is not feasible.
Acceptance of shortlisting constitutes acknowledgement of this clause. Shortlisted entrants who choose to attend at their own expense where full support is not available are welcome to do so.
